Reform of procedural legislation in the Russian Federation

On November 20, 2018, the RF State Duma adopted Bill No. 383208-7 on amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, the Arbitration Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, the Code of Administrative Procedure of the Russian Federation and other legislative acts, initiated by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. The proposed amendments are primarily aimed at reducing the burden on the courts: increasing the maximum amounts for considering a case in a simplified, writ procedures, streamlining procedures of the motion to recuse the judge.
