Life cycle contracts and their legislative regulation in the Russian Federation became the topic of the new issue of the magazine on innovations and current trends in the field of transport engineering Train and Brain. The authors of this material analyzed the legislative norms on life cycle contracts, as well as assessed the foreign experience and practice in Russia on the structuring and implementation of these contracts.

You & Partners' partner, Evgenia Zusman, noted that, from a legal point of view, the application of life cycle contract is connected with certain difficulties, since at present this topic is legally regulated in a very fragmented way. In addition, Evgenia noted that the Russian model of life cycle contract does not quite correspond to international experience - usually the right of ownership (at least for the duration of the agreement) is transferred to the private side, while in the Russian Federation this is impossible either under the concession agreement or under the state contract.
